It is one thing to have a renovation idea in mind but laying out the necessary steps to achieve that vision is something in and of itself.
A renovation can sometimes mean we are essentially working with what we’ve got. There are details that will stay and others that may need some reinventing. These details can breathe new life into a space just the way they are and bring character to a home. Inspiration is key to help give light to a concept, but the technical details and planning are what help bring it all home. A recent transformation has been unveiled in Dallas, Texas and has a selling price we are astounded by. Not to mention the glow-up the interiors and exterior have undergone, showcasing a new look that is classically elegant.
This recent project is a custom remodel for a young family who decided to sell and put their earnings toward their next remodel in Highland Park. The curb appeal of this home is breathtaking, with the recent facelift applied to the exterior which also helps to separate it from the creek in its backdrop. The second story space was added on for a future exercise or media area. This space is equipped with a rooftop view and outdoor patio. The inspiration for this home is of Parisian Modern influences. Robust planning and creativity helped us uncover the reimagined aesthetic for the project.
The posh design scheme includes showstopper elements with an ornate yet sculptural nature that are also sleek to tie back to the rest of the contemporary elements in the design. The build as our primary focus set the tone for the rest of the interiors that accentuate the classic architecture and carry a dreamy vignette of attitude throughout the space. The fireplace is an original feature piece that centers you as you enter the dining area. Here you will notice the original iron grates stand true in their original form. Backing this focal point is a breathtaking plaster wall that highlights chic lighting fixtures, that bring character and support to their counterparts. Twin chandeliers occupy the negative space in the room, creating an ambiance of charm and sophistication.
Innovative interiors do so much more than help a space look and feel beautiful. There are also cost saving measures that can be integrated to hold the test of time and cost of living. The husband of the family was very conscious about the cost of future maintenance. With this in mind, porcelain is layered in to give that natural stone look without the upkeep. There is no shortage of style and grace when it comes to the trim work that gives each space its well-deserved shining moment. The contrast between the trim and the crisp backdrop of the rest of the interiors is one that flirts with the minimal and impeccable.
Luxury at a whole new level can be enjoyed in this Parisian-inspired abode. The kitchen is equipped with a whole wall of cabinets that make a 007 worthy hiding place for the fridge. The appliances receive the same royal treatment and have their own nooks so they can be tucked away, to help give the heart of the home a sleek and clean finish. Getting ready in your very own powder room for your day is another way to bring home that elevated side of living. Not all of the little touches are for reserved for the woman of the house though. The man of the house likes to enjoy his fair share of pampering as well. With this idea in mind, we designed a his and her closet that features a personalized flair to appeal to both of their wants and needs. A minimal and masculine side for him, accompanied by a flirty feminine side for her.
